George III.

George III was the King of Great Britain and Ireland between 1760 and 1820 and also Elector and King of Hanover.  George III did not lack in his ability to reign, however he caused considerable friction during that time. He shared the blame for the loss of the American colonies and during the 1770’s he was not popular amongst his people. He suffered with recurring mental problems and he died insane and blind.
